2nd/3rd Grade Multiage: Brooke Hayter
At St. Therese Since 2011
Education: BAEd History, cum laude graduate of Western Washington University; K-8 Teaching Certificate
Experience: During my time at Western I had the opportunity to have a number of practicums in a variety of public schools. Prior to coming to St. Therese I had the opportunity to student teach in a fourth grade classroom at Everson Elementary, in the Nooksack School District, for one year.
Passion/Interests: I am thrilled to be continuing my career in 2nd/3rd grade! I have had a life-long passion for teaching and learning and love being a part of the development of student knowledge. Seeing the students really begin to understand the content we are exploring is an incredible feeling and it is a large part of why I love teaching. I am very passionate about Catholic education; I attended St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School in Everett from Kindergarten through 8th grade. This experience provided me with a deep spiritual foundation which I am excited to share with my students. After graduating from Western, I left beautiful Bellingham and moved back down to Everett to be with family and friends. I am a very active person; I love being outdoors, skiing, running, or taking my dog Cash for walks. I also love, reading and can often be found with a book in hand. My goal for this year is to create a classroom community where all of my students feel comfortable and confident in their abilities so that every student has the best opportunity for success. I am eager to share my love for learning with my students and am looking forward to all that the year has to bring!
